DS4 - Sweet Georgina

David Sinclair brings his storytelling craft to centre stage on Sweet Georgina, the second album by his band the DS4. The title track is an anglo-americana ode to the band’s muse and the patron saint of songwriters everywhere: “She’s a woman of grace, a creature of youth/A master of rhyme, she told me the truth.” The Rolling People, a blazing, extinction-era blues, was selected as one of the featured tracks on Classic Rock magazine’s CD covermount, while Southern State was singled out for praise by DJ Kid Jensen as an outstanding modern update of the Allman Brothers tradition of twin-guitar instrumentals.

David Sinclair and guitarist Geoff Peel are joined on the album by Derek White (bass), Keir Adamson (drums), Laurie Garman (harmonica) and Becci Wallace (vocals).

“Engaging songcraft, strong on melody and always with a resolving hook… It is easily their best album.” Pete Feenstra, GetReadyToRock

“Retro-supercool.” Mark Watkins Reviews
